SES Implementation Jumpstart Optional Action 3

Compare your agency’s information requests to the standard information requests in the SES library, MSB and Mortgage only.

About this task

Last updated: 2020-04-301

SES offers the opportunity to compare your agency’s state-specific information request list with the SES “standards.” By taking this action now, you will likely be able to move your agency through the formal onboarding process more quickly.

A significant benefit of SES is that it offers agency users a single set of standard information requests and procedures to use in every exam. These standards were developed by working groups of examiners from the various industries (MSB, mortgage). CSBS strongly encourages the use of standard items wherever possible because using these standards furthers the goals of networked supervision by establishing a uniform regulatory exam program for each industry. The first step is determining which standards are applicable for your agency, and which state-specific items must be added to SES. The goal is to avoid adding a state-specific item when a standard suffices. To help with this comparison, we have developed a tool that will detect possible matches.

Procedure

  1. Enter your existing information requests in the State to Standard IR Match Report template.
  2. Once entered, send the file to CSBS State Relations team member Courtney Hill (cchill@csbs.org).
1 This document lists optional actions and instructions state agencies can perform now prior to the SES formal implementation process, comprised by onboarding and training. Working on these options ahead of time will enhance your implementation process and make certain agency-specific features in the system readily available to you during the onboarding process. Please note that completing any of the options below does not guarantee that the agency will get early access to the system or that the agency will start the formal implementation system earlier than planned.
